While controlling a person or … WebZoom It! mod allows you to override the default zoom level (both in and out) while in a working mode. there is a 1st person view available on console that allows you to be that first person and to direct the movement of the character but, to my knowledge, that isn't available on pc versions. There are a number of first person cam mods.

There are mods, where you can drive around, but that does not require multiplayer (and those mods are fun because the perspective is so very different).
